YOUR RELATIVES WILL TRAVEL MILES TO BURRY YOU, BUT WILL NOT CROSS THE STREET TO SUPPORT YOU WHEN YOU ARE ALIVE

The saying goes that blood is thicker than water, but sometimes it seems like the opposite is true. It's a sad reality that some people in your family will travel miles to bury you, but won't cross the street to support you when you're alive. This phenomenon is not only hurtful but also raises the question of why it happens.

One reason could be that people often take their family for granted. They assume that their family members will always be there for them, no matter what. Therefore, they don't put in the effort to maintain these relationships. However, this can lead to a lack of communication and understanding between family members, which can result in them not being there for each other in times of need.

Another reason could be that some family members may have their own issues that prevent them from being supportive. For example, they may have their own financial or personal problems that make it difficult for them to help others. Alternatively, they may have unresolved family conflicts that make it hard for them to come together in times of need.

Regardless of the reason, it's important to acknowledge that this behavior can be hurtful and damaging. It can make people feel isolated and alone in their struggles, even when they have family members nearby. However, it's also important to recognize that there are ways to address this issue.

One way to start is by having open and honest conversations with family members about how their behavior is affecting you. This can be difficult, but it can also be the first step in improving the relationship. It's also important to remember that family members may not even realize that they are being unsupportive, so bringing it to their attention can be a wake-up call.

Another way to address this issue is to focus on building a support system outside of your family. This can include friends, colleagues, or even support groups. By surrounding yourself with people who are supportive and understanding, you can start to feel less alone in your struggles.

With this in mind, the saying that some people in your family will travel miles to bury you, but won't cross the street to support you when you're alive is unfortunately true for many people. However, it's important to acknowledge that this behavior can be hurtful and damaging, and there are ways to address it. By having open and honest conversations and building a support system outside of your family, you can start to feel less alone and more supported in your struggles.
